Cities:
Taipei
- Night markets: Many good street food, biggest is Raohe, Shilin is also good.
- National Palace Museum: Collection of world-class artifacts, showcasing thousands of years Chinese art, history, and culture.
- Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall: Massive structure with full of history, cultural landmarks.
Tainan
- Small city, everything was in a walkable distance, thus, walked a lot.
- There are a couple night markets but they only open on certain days.
Yehliu/Shifen/Jioufen
- Yehliu Geopark: Oceanview, unique rock formation (famous for the Queen's Head), nature (hike).
- Shifen Waterfall: Beautiful waterfalls and green surrounding the scenic, calming view.
- Jiufen Old Street: Spirited Away inspired village, popular tourist spot with great food stand/restaurant and souvenir.
Note: Make sure to check if restaurants, night market, museums, etc. are open since their operating hours are very limited, especially if it is a Sunday or a Monday.
